Imayam Trust conducted an Awareness Program to the General public and farmers on the importance of Farmer producer organisation. In this awareness program, around 30 members participated and benefitted. Mrs.Vaijayanthimala, Managing Trustee of Imayam trust spoke about the role of NGO in FPO promotion and the welfare of farmers through FPOs. Farmer Producer Organisations are supported by central Government to strengthen collective farming as well as doubling farmers income with low input expenses. The farmers can benefit in many ways through FPO. By joining as a member of a FPO,a farmer can sell his/her commodities for a good price as well as avail all the government schemes easily
